About Me

During my time working in customer contact at a health insurance company while studying Biomedical Sciences, I gained valuable experience in the healthcare sector. I discovered that, although I enjoyed helping people and working in an organized and structured environment, this career path wasn’t the perfect fit for me.

This realization led me to explore new opportunities, where I found my passion at the intersection of organization and communication. I transitioned into the role of a Virtual Assistant, where I now focus on creating clarity, structure, and smooth communication flows to support my clients effectively.

In addition to my work as a VA, I am currently pursuing a degree in Communication and Information Studies, which perfectly complements my professional interests and helps me continuously improve the way I organize, communicate, and collaborate.

Education

September 2025 – Present

Communication and Information Studies

Universiteit Utrecht

During my studies at Utrecht University, I am pursuing a degree in Communication and Information Studies, where I explore how people create, share, and interpret information across different media and contexts. The program allows me to combine my interest in clear communication, organization, and analytical thinking.

September 2024 – June 2025

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Sciences

Universiteit Utrecht

During my studies at Utrecht University, I deepened my knowledge of biological systems, human health, and medical research. Throughout my first year, I developed strong analytical skills and gained a deep understanding of scientific principles. However, after some reflection, I decided to discontinue my studies as I realized the field was not the right fit for me. I was also a member of the student association Mebiose, where I had the opportunity to connect with peers and engage in extracurricular activities related to my field.

September 2016 – June 2019

First Certificate in English (CEFR Level B2)

University of Cambridge

I successfully completed the bilingual junior programme (TTO) at Christelijk Lyceum Zeist, which strengthened my communication skills in both Dutch and English. This program enabled me to gain proficiency in English, laying the foundation for my academic and professional success.

September 2016 – June 2023

VWO Atheneum N&G

Christelijk Lyceum Zeist

During my VWO studies (pre-university education) with a focus on the Nature and Health (N&G) profile at Christelijk Lyceum Zeist, I specialized in subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. These subjects strengthened my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and gave me a solid academic foundation. While my studies initially focused on the sciences, this background has proven valuable in my current field of Communication and Information Studies, where analytical precision and clear reasoning also play an important role. Additionally, I actively participated in various school projects and extracurricular activities, which helped me further develop my teamwork and communication skills.
